Softball Recap: Moniteau Beats Karns City for Their Third Straight Victory

Moniteau waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with an 11-6 win over the Karns City Gremlins. This was payback for the Warriors, who suffered a 14-9 loss the last time these two teams met.

Halle Beatty was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run and four runs. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. Alex Stewart was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Moniteau pushed their record up to 7-8 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.3 runs over those games. As for Karns City, their defeat ended an eight-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-7.

Coming up, Moniteau will face off against Saegertown at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Karns City will be paying especially close attention to the Warriors' game: after the Warriors face off against the Panthers, they'll take on Karns City again at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
