Soccer Recap: West Mesquite Comes Up Short

West Mesquite was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Wilson Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-0 back in January.

West Mesquite's defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Wilson, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-5.

West Mesquite has already played their next game (against Adams), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Wilson, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against North Mesquite on the 22nd.
