Valley View is a perfect 10-0 against Greene County Tech since October of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Blazers will head out to square off against the Golden Eagles at 7:00 p.m.

Valley View is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Marion just ended the team's 12-match winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of the Patriots by a score of 3-2. While the Blazers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Patriots 25-21 in the first set.

Valley View started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 21-25, 25-21, 25-21, 15-7.

Meanwhile, Greene County Tech posted their closest win since September 22nd on Thursday. They won by a set and slipped past Paragould 3-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Golden Eagles.

Greene County Tech took Paragould into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-18, 15-25, 21-25, 15-13.

Greene County Tech's victory bumped their record up to 11-8. As for Valley View, their loss dropped their record down to 21-5.

Everything went Valley View's way against Greene County Tech in their previous meeting back in September, as Valley View made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Blazers since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
