The Mayfield Cubs will challenge the Westridge Tigers at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Mayfield is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.7 runs per game this season.

Having struggled with four losses in a row, Mayfield turned things around against Chadwick on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 win over the Dolphins.

Jenna Domingo was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. Domingo was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in two of her four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kennedy Taylor, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three stolen bases and one run. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaz Johnson, who got on base in two of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.

Meanwhile, Westridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They came up short against Flintridge Prep, falling 15-9.

Lilah Rangel made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-4 with two runs and two RBI. Elise Wichmann was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Mayfield's victory bumped their record up to 8-9-2. As for Westridge, their loss dropped their record down to 4-9-1.
