Baseball Game Preview: Priory Ravens vs. Burroughs Bombers

Priory hasn't had much luck against Burroughs recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Ravens will look to defend their home field against the Bombers at 4:45 p.m.

Priory is headed into Tuesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their ninth straight game on Monday. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of St. Louis HomeSchool P. The game snapped a strange streak: the last six times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

Priory saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Austin Kovac, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double. That hit marked the first that Kovac has got this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Burroughs). They blew past Principia 16-1 on Saturday. The Bombers haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Burroughs pushed their record up to 13-3 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.7 runs over those games. As for Priory, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-15.
