Football Recap: Lake Stevens Beats Jackson for Their Sixth Straight Victory

Lake Stevens extended their winning streak to six games thanks to a huge performance from Jayvian Ferrell. The Vikings took their matchup on Friday with ease, bagging a 42-0 win over the Jackson Timberwolves thanks in part to Ferrell, who rushed for 95 yards and two touchdowns. He was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 56 yards.

Special teams played a big role in the game for Lake Stevens, adding 12 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Deuce Wilson, who ran a punt back for a touchdown. Another bright spot was a kickoff return touchdown from Grayson Eggers.

Lake Stevens' defense made their presence known, laying out the QB three times. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Kayden Blanchard, Will Lynch, and Brayden Slezak, who each picked up one sack apiece. Lake Stevens got some further help from Antoine Griffin III: he made six total tackles (6.0 for loss).

Lake Stevens' victory bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Jackson, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lake Stevens will challenge Ferndale at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Jackson, they will square off against Mariner at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
