Basketball Game Preview: Signal Mountain Eagles vs. Boyd-Buchanan Buccaneers

The Signal Mountain Eagles will head out to square off against the Boyd-Buchanan Buccaneers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Signal Mountain took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They slipped by Soddy Daisy 40-39.

Meanwhile, Boyd-Buchanan waltzed into their game on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They claimed a resounding 80-31 win over the Collegedale Eagle. The Buccaneers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 25 points or more this season.

Signal Mountain pushed their record up to 8-8 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.0 points per game. As for Boyd-Buchanan, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.

Signal Mountain lost to Boyd-Buchanan on the road by a decisive 53-36 margin when the teams last played back in January of 2020. Can Signal Mountain avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
