Dike-New Hartford had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the six-run drubbing they dealt Hudson on Monday. The Wolverines blew past the Pirates 8-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Wolverines have posted against the Pirates since June 8, 2023.

The victory was the third in a row for Dike-New Hartford, bringing their record up to 10-6. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games.
