Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Mooresville walked away with it. They blew past the Decatur Central Hawks 80-55 on Friday. The Pioneers' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Randee Garringer was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 34 points and 13 boards. Those 34 points gave her a new career-high. Ava Shafer was another key player, putting up 12 points in addition to eight assists and five rebounds.

The win (which was Mooresville's fourth in a row) raised their record to 18-7. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.0 points over those games. As for Decatur Central, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 12 of their last 16 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-15 record this season.

Coming up, Mooresville and Franklin Central will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Decatur Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
