Appling County's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Makayla Williams led the charge by dropping a double-double with 20 points and 13 boards. Those 13 rebounds gave Williams a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Perri Mitchell, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and 14 boards.

Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe's loss dropped their record down to 11-17. As for Appling County, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 19-8 record this season.
