Soccer Recap: Lipscomb Academy Comes Up Short

Lipscomb Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 4-1 to the Independence Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Lipscomb Academy of the 4-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Lipscomb Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. Independence has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lipscomb Academy will host Stem Preparatory Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Stem Preparatory Academy will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Lipscomb Academy surely won't give up without a fight. As for Independence, they will look to defend their home pitch on Friday against Centennial at 7:00 p.m.
