Game recap: South Pointe high school football team never lets up in victory over Rock Hill

South Pointe (Rock Hill, S.C.) kept up a steady attack all game long to beat Rock Hill (S.C.), 32-0, on Saturday.

The Stallions were up 13-0 at the half after taking the lead on a punt return touchdown by Anthony Johnson in the second quarter.

South Pointe expanded its lead to 25 points entering the fourth quarter. SP scored two times in the third, including once on a touchdown run by CJ Pendergrass.

With the win the Stallions extended their winning streak to eight games. South Pointe defeated the Falcons 43-14 last week.

SP's standout player in the win was Johnson. He caught one touchdown.



The Stallions had given up an average of 11.7 points prior to the contest.

When the two teams played each other last season, South Pointe came away with a 28-21 victory.

In a AAAA Region III game next week South Pointe (8-0) takes on Clover, and Rock Hill (2-6) will go up against Nation Ford also in a AAAA Region III game.
