Basketball Game Preview: Mount Abram Roadrunners vs. Mountain Valley Falcons

The Mount Abram Roadrunners will face off against the Mountain Valley Falcons at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Mount Abram knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six games -- so hopefully Mountain Valley likes a good challenge.

On Thursday, Mount Abram took their matchup with ease, bagging a 66-37 win over Madison.

Meanwhile, Mountain Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were outmatched by Spruce Mountain and fell 66-27. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maine basketball rankings (they are ranked 115th, while the Phoenix are ranked 13th).

Mountain Valley's loss dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Mount Abram, their victory bumped their record up to 15-2.

Everything came up roses for Mount Abram against Mountain Valley in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, as the squad secured a 75-45 win. Will Mount Abram repeat their success, or does Mountain Valley have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
