Softball Recap: Academy for Academic Excellence Knights vs. Riverside Prep Silver Knights
In what's become a running theme this season, Academy for Academic Excellence gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. Everything went their way against the Riverside Prep Silver Knights as the Academy for Academic Excellence Knights made off with a 15-7 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for Academy for Academic Excellence.
Haylee Berg made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed five innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off two hits. Berg has been consistent recently: she hasn't pitched less than five innings in four consecutive pitching appearances. Berg was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3.
In other batting news, Kayla Berg was incredible, firing off two home runs, three runs, and four RBI while going 4-for-5. Another player making a difference was Paityn Thibodeaux, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances.
