Soccer Game Preview: Dumas vs. West Plains

The Dumas Demons will challenge the West Plains Wolves at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. West Plains took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Dumas, who comes in off a win.

While Dumas' win against Canyon wasn't quite the blowout they won the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Dumas had just enough and edged out Canyon 2-1. The result kept the Demons happy, as they haven't lost a game since February 7th.

Despite a strong season so far, West Plains has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Randall on Friday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Wolves came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 255th, while the Raiders are ranked 639th).

Dumas pushed their record up to 12-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 23 goals over those five games. As for West Plains, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-5.
