Menomonee Falls posted their closest victory since October 7, 2024 on Monday. They had just enough and edged out the Whitnall Falcons 3-2. For the Phoenix, this counts as revenge for the 3-1 win the Falcons walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

Menomonee Falls had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 21-25, 28-30, 25-21, 25-22, 15-13.

Daniel Poulakos paced Menomonee Falls' offense, picking up 23 kills. Poulakos got some help from Ben Kuhn and his 57 assists. Finally, Poulakos was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high four blocks.

Menomonee Falls now has a winning record of 4-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Menomonee Falls will square off against Brookfield East at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Whitnall, they will be playing at home against Pius XI Catholic at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
