Softball Game Preview: Gosnell Pirates vs. Highland Rebels

For the second straight game, Gosnell will face off against Highland. The Pirates will look to defend their home field on Thursday against the Rebels at 4:30 p.m. The timing is sure in Gosnell's favor as the squad sits on five straight wins at home while Highland has been banged up by eight consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.

Last Tuesday, Gosnell earned a 4-1 win over Highland. The Pirates haven't had any issues with the Rebels recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Cheyanna Trapp was excellent, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with three stolen bases and one RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Anna Claire Smith was another key player, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 1-for-3.

Highland's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Gosnell, their win bumped their record up to 7-2.
