Softball Recap: Alice Comes Up Short

Alice lost against Gregory-Portland back in April of 2019, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Alice Coyotes lost 15-1 to the Gregory-Portland Wildcats. The Coyotes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Alice's defeat dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Gregory-Portland, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.

Alice will face off against King at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Alice has given up an average of 7.8 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Gregory-Portland, they will challenge Flour Bluff at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.
