Basketball Game Recap: Morristown vs. Pope John XXIII

After constant struggles on the road, Pope John XXIII has finally found some success away from home. They managed a 67-61 victory over the Morristown Colonials on Tuesday. Since Pope John XXIII won the last time these teams met, too, this is only more fuel for the fire driving Morristown's future revenge.

The win bumped Pope John XXIII's record up to 3-14. The Colonials' loss pushed them down to 4-13.

Pope John XXIII will take on Randolph on Thursday. Pope John XXIII is at home for the contest, a silver lining they hope will compensate for their disadvantage in the MaxPreps rankings. As for the Colonials, they will go up against West Morris Mendham on Thursday. Coming off of a loss in a game they were expected to win, Morristown now face the more daunting task of proving themselves against unfavorable odds.
