King George and Brooke Point are an even 4-4 against one another since March of 2016, but likely not for long. The Foxes will be playing at home against the Black Hawks at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Massaponax hit Brooke Point with a five-run fifth inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Black Hawks fell 9-4 to the Panthers.

Landon Smith was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. That double was his first of the season.

King George pushed their record up to 11-6 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Brooke Point, their loss dropped their record down to 2-12.

King George suffered a grim 10-2 defeat to Brooke Point in their previous matchup back in March of 2023. Can the Foxes avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
