Football Game Preview: Grant Pacers vs. Cordova Lancers + Official Tickets

The Grant Pacers are taking a road trip to face off against the Cordova Lancers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Grant has three straight victories, Cordova has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Grant is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They simply couldn't be stopped last Friday as they easily beat Antelope 49-10. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Pacers with their most commanding win of the season.

Grant got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Blake Nycum out in front who threw for 220 yards and three touchdowns while completing 92.9% of his passes. Malikii Lavern helped Nycum out on the ground, rushing for 100 yards and one TD on only five carries.

Grant was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 234 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in September of 2024.

Meanwhile, Cordova came up short against Davis Sr. on Friday and fell 27-20.

Cordova didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Zachary McIntire.

Cordova's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Grant, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Thursday's matchup: Grant has been on an offensive roll this season, having averaged 352.7 total yards per game. It's a different story for Cordova, though, as they've been averaging only 176.8 total yards. Will Grant be able to march up the field at their leisure again, or will the Lancers flip the script?

Everything came up roses for Grant against Cordova in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, as the team secured a 55-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pacers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
