Lockport is 8-2 against Lewiston-Porter since May of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Lions are taking a road trip to square off against the Lancers at 10:00 a.m. Lockport will be strutting in after a win while Lewiston-Porter will be coming in after a defeat.

Lockport was handed a 17-run loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Friday. They won by a run and slipped past Kenmore West 6-5.

Meanwhile, Lewiston-Porter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against Kenmore West, falling 10-4. That's two games in a row now that the Lancers have lost by exactly six runs.

Brayden VanEgmond was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with one RBI. That RBI marked the first that he has brought in this season. Max Shumaker was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs.

Lockport's victory bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Lewiston-Porter, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7.

Lockport beat Lewiston-Porter 5-1 in their previous matchup last Wednesday. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lions since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
