Soccer Recap: Woodson Comes Up Short

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Woodson and Alexandria City meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Wednesday. The Cavaliers took a 4-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Titans. Woodson were not able to make up for their defeat to Alexandria City from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Woodson's loss dropped their record down to 5-4-2. As for Alexandria City, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-3-1.

Coming up, Woodson will square off against West Potomac at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Alexandria City, they will welcome Fairfax at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Alexandria City are facing Fairfax at the right time seeing as Fairfax are stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
