Baseball Game Preview: St. John's Cadets vs. Gonzaga Eagles

St. John is on a 25-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Gonzaga is on a four-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Cadets will welcome the Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. St. John's pitching crew has only allowed 1.9 runs per game this season, so Gonzaga's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

St. John's is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They never let Bishop Ireton get on the board and left with an 11-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Cadets, who have now won 19 games by six runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when Gonzaga duked it out with Our Lady of Good Counsel on Friday. The Eagles walked away with a 5-1 win over the Falcons. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Falcons recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Gonzaga's win bumped their record up to 16-11. As for St. John's, their victory bumped their record up to 26-1.
