Volleyball Recap: Clay-Chalkville Comes Up Short

Clay-Chalkville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Phil Campbell Bobcats.

Clay-Chalkville's loss dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Phil Campbell, with the win, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-15.

Looking ahead, Clay-Chalkville is taking a road trip to take on Alexandria at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Phil Campbell, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Loretto on the 13th.
