Meanwhile, Somerset Academy Losee faced Legacy in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. Somerset Academy Losee snuck past Legacy with a 52-48 victory. The win was familiar territory for the Lions who have now won three games in a row.

Somerset Academy Losee's victory was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-5. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 38.9 points. As for Cheyenne, their win bumped their record up to 4-7.

Cheyenne was taken down by Somerset Academy Losee 64-3 in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Somerset Academy Losee's Jayla Lewis, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 19 steals.
