Football Recap: Harrison Thompson and Cody Dow Secure Win for Mckinney Christian Academy

McKinney Christian Academy lost to Bishop Gorman back in November of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Mustangs walked away with a 24-12 victory over the Crusaders. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mustangs.

A big part of McKinney Christian Academy's win came down to the chemistry between Cody Dow and his top target Harrison Thompson. Dow rushed for 38 yards and two scores while Thompson picked up 139 receiving yards and one TD. That's the most receiving yards Thompson has posted since back in September.

McKinney Christian Academy didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Chase Bruegel and Jackson Wittwer.

McKinney Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Bishop Gorman, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-8.

McKinney Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bishop Gorman, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 49-12 loss against Geneva on the 14th.
