Basketball Recap: Manawa Comes Up Short

Manawa was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were dealt a 72-34 loss at the hands of the Stratford Tigers. The matchup marked the Wolves' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Manawa's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Stratford, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Manawa won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Fall River at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. Manawa is facing Fall River at the right time seeing as Fall River is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Stratford, they will also get right back to it: they'll take on Owen-Withee at 7:15 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Owen-Withee's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
