Basketball Recap: Mustang Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Mustang can now relate to. They lost to the Putnam City North Panthers on the road by a 65-48 margin on Saturday. The Broncos have struggled against the Panthers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meetings.

Nykaiya Dillard was her usual excellent self, almost dropping a double-double with 18 points and nine rebounds for Putnam City North. Another player making a difference was Brandie Harrod, who dropped a double-double with 18 points and ten boards.

Mustang's defeat dropped their record down to 21-6. As for Putnam City North, the victory was the 21st in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 29-1.

As of now, neither Mustang nor Putnam City North have any future games scheduled.
