Softball Recap: Cloverdale Continues Home Dominance on Monday

Cloverdale lost to Owen Valley back in May of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Monday. The Clovers walked away with a 5-1 victory over the Patriots. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Clovers.

Callee Smith spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on four hits.

At the plate, Norah Frye was excellent, going 2-for-4 with three RBI. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high.

Cloverdale's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-8. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Owen Valley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-6.

Cloverdale has already played their next match, an 8-7 defeat against Eastern Greene on the 6th. As for Owen Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 3-2 win against North Putnam on the 6th.
