Basketball Game Preview: Calhoun Red Devils vs. Parkersburg Catholic Crusaders

The Calhoun Red Devils will head out to take on the Parkersburg Catholic Crusaders at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 68-39, which was the final score in Calhoun's tilt against Webster County on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Parkersburg Catholic hadn't done well against Wirt County recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Crusaders sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 48-46 win over the Tigers. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Crusaders.

Parkersburg Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Calhoun, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Calhoun ended up a good deal behind Parkersburg Catholic in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, losing 67-50. Can the Red Devils avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
