Soccer Recap: Helena Takes a Loss

If Helena was riding high fresh off their 11-1 takedown of Shelby County last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Helena Huskies fell just short of the Thompson Warriors by a score of 2-1 on Thursday. The loss continues a trend for the Huskies in their meetings with the Warriors: they've now lost five in a row.

Helena now has a losing record of 3-4-1. As for Thompson, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-3-1.

Helena wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next game, a 3-1 victory against Bessemer City on the 11th. As for Thompson, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Hewitt-Trussville on the 11th.
