Basketball Recap: Challis Vikings vs. Leadore Mustangs
Challis was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 46-45 to the Leadore Mustangs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Vikings of the 39-29 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January.
Lexi Bird had a dynamite game for Leadore, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 22 rebounds. Azelynn Jones was another key player, scoring eight points plus 11 rebounds and three blocks.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Challis will welcome Mackay at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Leadore, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Salmon at 7:00 p.m. on December 3rd.
