Tallwood's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They walked away with a 9-5 victory over the Salem Sundevils. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Lions as it put an end to their six-game losing streak.

Ben Thomas was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was KJ Reynolds, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Tallwood kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

The victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 2-6. As for Salem, they dropped their record down to 2-9 with the defeat, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tallwood will head out to square off against First Colonial at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Patriots will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last. As for Salem, they will venture away from home to face off against Bayside at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
