Softball Recap: Jacksonville Takes a Loss

Jacksonville fell victim to Hallsville and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 12-0 to the Hallsville Bobcats. The Fightin' Indians just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Jacksonville's defeat dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Hallsville, the win was the 14th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 19-2-1.

Looking ahead, Jacksonville is taking a road trip to face off against Texas at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Jacksonville has given up an average of 9.6 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Hallsville, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Hallsville Bobcats face off against Lufkin Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. They are on an eight-game streak of home wins, Lufkin a four-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the field.
