Baseball Recap: Mater Dei Picks Up Sixth Consecutive Victory

Mater Dei had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the eight-run drubbing they dealt Bishop Gorman on Saturday. Everything went the Mater Dei Monarchs' way against the Bishop Gorman Gaels as the Mater Dei Monarchs made off with a 13-5 win. Considering the Monarchs have won three contests by more than seven runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory keeps them at an undefeated 6-0. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Bishop Gorman, they moved to 3-2 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.
