Anson is 9-1 against Forest Hills since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Bearcats will look to defend their home field against the Yellow Jackets at 6:00 p.m.

On Monday, Anson came up short against Richmond and fell 9-4.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Forest Hills). Everything went their way against Monroe on Monday as they made off with a 23-1 victory. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Yellow Jackets as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.

Lylah Starnes made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Starnes was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with four stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. Those three runs gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Laurieyata Cuthbertson was a standout: she scored three runs and stole six bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Aubrey Horne, who scored three runs and stole three bases while going 3-for-4.

Forest Hills always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .795. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Monroe only posted an OBP of .250.

Forest Hills picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 2-15. As for Anson, their loss dropped their record down to 7-14.

Everything went Anson's way against Forest Hills in their previous matchup back in March, as Anson made off with an 18-2 win. Do the Bearcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Yellow Jackets turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
