Utica and Newark Catholic are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2018, but likely not for long. The Redskins will venture away from home to challenge the Green Wave at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Utica is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.

On Saturday, Utica came up short against Lakewood and fell 10-7.

Meanwhile, Newark Catholic also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to Johnstown-Monroe by a score of 6-1.

Newark Catholic saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brooklyn Kurtz Merricks (2027), who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Utica's loss dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Newark Catholic, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-12.

Utica skirted past Newark Catholic 16-15 in their previous meeting back in April. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Redskins since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
