Softball Recap: Frontier Takes a Loss

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Frontier's offense. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Stockdale Mustangs on Wednesday. That makes it the first time this season the Titans have let down their home crowd.

Taylor Sloss spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on ten hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Frontier saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Keira Edwards, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

This is the second loss in a row for Frontier and nudges their season record down to 8-6. As for Stockdale, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-3.

While Frontier had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
