Basketball Game Preview: Greenforest Eagles vs. North Cobb Christian Eagles

We've got a battle between Eagles coming up. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a 18-game winning streak alive.

Greenforest is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Greater Atlanta Christian as Greenforest made off with a 71-51 victory. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 17 matches by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, North Cobb Christian won against Mt. Bethel Christian Academy on Saturday with 76 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Wednesday. North Cobb Christian beat St. Francis by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 76-64. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 33rd in Georgia, while the Knights are ranked 130th in Georgia), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Greenforest pushed their record up to 24-5 with the win, which was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 37.1 points. As for North Cobb Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 27-3.
