Recap: Evergreen Cougars vs. Skyview Wolverines
The Evergreen Cougars fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They enjoyed a cozy 25-6 victory over Skyview on Thursday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Evergreen also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2022.
Evergreen was led to victory by Solomon Bentrott and Josh Bittner. Bentrott rushed for 79 yards and a touchdown on only five carries, while Bittner rushed for 155 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 carries. Bittner really tore up the turf during one magnificent 75-yard run.
Evergreen's win bumped their record up to 2-6. As for Skyview, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-3 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Evergreen will take on Wheat Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on October 27th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Colorado (Wheat Ridge is ranked 145th, while Evergreen is ranked 157th). As for Skyview, they will look to defend their home field on October 27th against Conifer at 7:00 p.m.
