Softball Recap: Winters Warriors vs. Esparto Spartans

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Winters). Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Esparto Spartans a 26-0 shutout on Friday. With that victory, the Warriors brought their scoring average up to 6.7 runs per game.

Raegan Hurst was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out ten over five innings pitched. Hurst was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances.
