The Bonanza Bengals will challenge the Western Warriors at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Bonanza took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They never let Desert Pines get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Bengals in their matchups with the Jaguars: they've now won nine in a row.

Darren McGee made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out ten over six innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Bonanza is 5-2 when he allows at most one earned run, but 4-13 otherwise. McGee was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March.
In other batting news, Bonanza let Dillon Owens and Dylan Sanchez Hipolito run wild. Owens went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one run, while Sanchez Hipolito went a perfect 1-for-1 with three RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most RBI Owens has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Jesus Rios, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.
Bonanza hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post two or more strikeouts.
Meanwhile, Western entered their tilt with Cimarron-Memorial on Tuesday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They blew past the Spartans 18-8. Considering the Warriors have won six contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Edwin Moreno was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. He was even better at the plate, firing off five stolen bases, five runs, and four doubles while going 4-for-5.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Adrian Diaz, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with four runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Carlos Cota was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.
Bonanza's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-15. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for Western, their win bumped their record up to 11-6.
