Baseball Recap: Washington Comes Up Short

Washington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 15-1 to the Fairfield Trojans. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, with their most recent loss being a 9-0 defeat on June 9th.

Washington's loss dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Fairfield, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-5.

Washington didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 12-10 defeat against Janesville on the 27th. As for Fairfield, they have also already played their next game, an 11-6 win against Denison-Schleswig on the 27th.
