The Guilford Grizzlies will square off against the West Haven Blue Devils at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Guilford is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.1 runs per game this season.

The home team had come away the winner the last five times Guilford and Sacred Heart Academy had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Grizzlies came out on top in a nail-biter against Sacred Heart Academy on Wednesday, sneaking past 11-9. The win continues a trend for the Grizzlies in their matchups with Sacred Heart Academy: they've now won three in a row.

Ella Munson was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kennadie Tansey, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.

Meanwhile, West Haven was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 11-2 to Mercy.

Guilford now has a winning record of 6-5. As for West Haven, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-7.

Everything went Guilford's way against West Haven in their previous meeting back in April, as Guilford made off with a 21-3 victory. Will the Grizzlies repeat their success, or do the Blue Devils have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
