Football Recap: Bishop Ireton Gets Big Victory over Higher-Ranked Mckinley Tech

Bishop Ireton won the last time they faced McKinley Tech and things went their way on Saturday too. The Cardinals took down the Trainers 28-14. The win was all the more spectacular given the Cardinals' disadvantage in MaxPreps' football rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 183rd in Virginia, while the Trainers are ranked 18th in District of Columbia).

Bishop Ireton's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for McKinley Tech, they now also have a losing record of 1-2.

Coming up, Bishop Ireton will head out to square off against Potomac School at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for McKinley Tech, they will be playing in front of their home fans against KIPP DC Legacy College Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
