Basketball Game Preview: Whitnall Falcons vs. Pewaukee Pirates

Whitnall is 2-8 against Pewaukee since February of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Whitnall Falcons will challenge the Pewaukee Pirates at 7:00 p.m. Whitnall knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 15 games -- so hopefully Pewaukee likes a good challenge.

If Pewaukee heads into halftime all tied up, they better play a good second half: that's when Whitnall took over last week. Whitnall managed a 64-60 victory over Kimberly on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Pewaukee faced Wisconsin Lutheran in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The match between Pewaukee and Wisconsin Lutheran didn't end well, with Pewaukee falling 71-53. The contest marked the Pirates' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Whitnall's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-6. As for Pewaukee, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-4.

Whitnall ended up a good deal behind Pewaukee in their previous matchup back in March of 2023, losing 71-54. Can Whitnall avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
