Basketball Game Preview: Parkway West Longhorns vs. Visitation Academy Vivettes

The Parkway West Longhorns will venture away from home to face off against the Visitation Academy Vivettes at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Parkway West is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games.

Parkway West will bounce into Wednesday's match after beating Pattonville, who they had gone 1-6 against in their seven prior meetings. Parkway West took down Pattonville 47-33 on Friday. Given the Longhorns' advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 23rd, while the Pirates are ranked 138th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Visitation Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They claimed a resounding 55-20 win over Rosati-Kain. The contest marked the Vivettes' most dominant victory of the season.

Visitation Academy's win bumped their record up to 4-11. As for Parkway West, they are also on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season.

Parkway West strolled past Visitation Academy in their previous matchup back in January of 2024 by a score of 51-36. The rematch might be a little tougher for Parkway West since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
