Baseball Recap: Carson Finds Home Field Redemption Against Banning

There's no place like home for Carson, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Banning Pilots a 5-0 shutout on Friday. This was a revenge game for the Colts: when they faced off against the Pilots on Wednesday, they had to take a 3-1 defeat.

Joziah Agredano made a splash no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over seven innings pitched. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March. He was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.

In other batting news, Kris Sinclair was excellent, going a perfect 1-for-1 with three RBI and one triple. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. Nate Ruan was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases.

Carson was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .381. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Carson's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-10. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Banning, they moved to 11-5 with that loss, which also ended their seven-game winning streak.

Carson wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 10-1 defeat against Kerman on the 14th. As for Banning, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 5-1 loss against San Fernando on the 12th.
