Volleyball Recap: Shady Spring Has No Trouble Against Greenbrier East

Shady Spring barely beat Greenbrier East the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Tigers put the hurt on the Spartans with a sharp 3-0 victory on Tuesday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last six times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-12, 25-17.

Shady Spring can attribute much of their success to Kenidi Creager, who had eight digs and two assists. That's the most digs Creager has posted over her last six games. Alessandra (Allie) Fragile also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Shady Spring pushed their record up to 6-2 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Shady Spring will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against University at 12:45 p.m. on September 6. As for Greenbrier East, they will host Nicholas County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
