Volleyball Recap: Shady Spring Has No Trouble Against Greenbrier East

The home team had won the previous five meetings between Shady Spring and Greenbrier East, and Shady Spring kept the tradition alive. The Tigers were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Spartans on Tuesday. That looming 3-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Tigers yet this season.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-12, 25-17.

Shady Spring can attribute much of their success to Kenidi Creager, who had eight digs and two assists. That's the most digs Creager has posted over her last six matchups. Alessandra (Allie) Fragile also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Shady Spring was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Greenbrier East only served one ace.

Shady Spring's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-2.

Greenbrier East has already played their next game, a 2-1 victory against Nicholas County on the 30th. Hopefully Shady Spring paid attention to the Spartans' contest: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Spartans at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
